Nicole Bougie is the designer and creative visionary for Chuckles And Bleu, a brand of clothing and toys for little rockers. After becoming a young mother while still in college she stepped away from her calling to create music in order to pursue more "practical" work. By the time her daughter was 11 she realized it was time to quit her job and shift back to the creativity that has always inspired her. That's when she founded Chuckles And Bleu!

When we chatted in 2020 Mel was beginning the painful journey of reckoning with postpartum depression, imposter syndrome, and the need to pivot her creative work to match the market.
